SAUERKRAUT WITH CHRISTY

Christy will guide you through the fermentation process, and you’ll leave with a jar of your very own homemade kraut. . Don’t miss out on this ferment-tastic experience!
You will need the following:
1 clean dish pan or big bowl or small bucket or crock
2 quart wide mouth jars
2 ferment weights
2 air locks
(Here are examples of weights, air locks, and pounder https://www.amazon.com/dp/
(Or you can use a ziplock bag, piece of saran wrap and rubber band)
1 head of cabbage (Red cabbage has the most Vit C content, but either green or red is fine)
Couple sprigs of fresh dill or dried dill
2 Tbsp of sea salt (NOT table salt!!!)
Herbs/Spices of your choosing
Here are some combo examples:
Pepper kraut: Habanero/Jalapeño Peppers
Fat Tuesday: (use green and red cabbage) Ginger, Turmeric, Pineapple
Italian: Basil, Rosemary, Oregano, Marjoram, Thyme
Greek: Onion, Garlic, Oregano, Mint, Lemon zest and juice
Curtido: Thin Sliced Carrots, Thin Sliced Onion, 2 Garlic Cloves, Oregano, Chili Pepper Flakes or Jalapeño Slices, Cumin (or Marjoram)
